YouTube videos and Shorts Open API Integration Guide

Use the TapSave Open API to parse a public YouTube videos and Shorts link and handle the returned media resources in your application.

Integration flow

Send a POST request to https://api.videotool.cc/openapi/parse with Content-Type: application/json, an X-API-Key header, and a JSON body containing the public url.

Response handling

First check code === 200, data.resultCode === 0, and data.hasResource === true. Then consume only the resource arrays returned for that request; do not invent URLs or assume a fixed format.

YouTube videos and Shorts resources

For YouTube, audio can be in videoList[].audioUrl or audioList; do not promise audio or MP4 when those fields are empty.

Limits and security

Keep the API key on your server, never expose it in browser code, and treat private, deleted, restricted, or unavailable links as expected parse failures.
