Xiaohongshu / RedNote notes Open API Integration Guide

Use the TapSave Open API to parse a public Xiaohongshu / RedNote notes link and handle the returned media resources in your application.

Integration flow

Send a POST request to https://api.videotool.cc/openapi/parse with Content-Type: application/json, an X-API-Key header, and a JSON body containing the public url.

Response handling

First check code === 200, data.resultCode === 0, and data.hasResource === true. Then consume only the resource arrays returned for that request; do not invent URLs or assume a fixed format.

Xiaohongshu / RedNote notes resources

For Xiaohongshu, notes may contain image packages, video, and captions; handle imgList, videoList, and descList independently. When provided upstream, the API also returns author (author nickname), publishTime (publication time in yyyy-MM-dd HH:mm:ss), and publishTimestamp (Unix timestamp in seconds). These fields can be empty, while descList remains unchanged for compatibility.

Limits and security

Keep the API key on your server, never expose it in browser code, and treat private, deleted, restricted, or unavailable links as expected parse failures.
